Singapore Casino
Are you gambling? If you would like to seek for your fortune. As you know in Asia, we have Macau, Hong kong, and Singapore where are well know place for gamble. Today I have newer place for you to go. Singapore just open a new casino resort(the traditional casino center). They are already set to knot out Las Vegas in the next two years (by 2012). Forecasters are all looking to upgrade their expectations in this industry following better-than-expected for second-quarter results for Genting Singapore's Resorts World Sentosa, one of two casino-resorts in the city. Singapore opened it is doors to gamblers earlier this year with two resorts as the government looked to become more varied it is sources of economic revenue. The gaming table is waiting inside the Marina Bay Sands casino. Singapore's government would like to earn moer and more money in each quarter. In addition, they want this casino to become Asian gambler option.
In my opinion, for me I do not like gambling. However. I think some people like it because it is fun and they want to play game chance for money. On other hand, you can lose lots of money because gambling too.

Growth in Singapore's non-oil domestic exports
Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew by 18 percent in July on an on-year basis, slower than the 28 percent rise in the previous month, latest official data showed on Tuesday.According to latest figures released by the trade promotion agency International Enterprise Singapore, the healthy increase was due to electronic and non-electronic NODX increase.Electronic NODX increased by 26 percent in July on a year-on- year basis, after the 44 percent rise in the previous month. Non- electronic NODX grew by 14 percent, after the 21 percent rise in the previous month. On a year-on-year basis, NODX to all of the top ten NODX markets increased. In particular, NODX to the Europe Union, by 26 percent, 35 percent and 35 percent respectively. On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, non-oil domestic exports (NODX) decreased by 3.9 percent in July, after the previous month's marginal 0.1 percent decline.
In my opinion, this is a good news for Singapore that non-oil domestic exports grew because in every business companies or countries want their own business to grown up in every month and year.

Green Features that reduce demand on resource utilization;using recycled and green materials for infrastructure development.
In my idea, there is a good park that buil to help the environment. One day I am going to visit this park. I think Singapore is a small country but they are a huge detail in everything. They are trying to make their own country as a better place for citizens and visitors. Moreover, I hope Thailand will have a good plan like as Singapore does for their citizen.

Singapore Concludes Open Skies Agreements.
Singapore has concluded Open Skies Agreements (OSAs) with Barbados, Brazil, Jamaica and Rwanda, held in early July in Jamaica. There offers a central meeting place for air services officials from various countries to meet and conduct two sides air services agreements. Here are the OSAs with Barbados and Jamaica is the first between Singapore and the Caribbean Community. The Singapore-Brazil OSA which was concluded in 2009 together with the establishment of Air Services Agreements with Colombia and Ecuador. The OSA with Rwanda is Singapore's second with an African country, after the Singapore-Zambia OSA that was concluded in 2008. Without restrictions on capacity, there are able to tap on traffic from and to third countries to improve the commercial viability of their operations. So, direct air links with Singapore will allow businesses in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbeans to access more markets by tapping on Singapore's excellent connectivity to the Asia Pacific region. The establishment of liberal air services frameworks between Singapore and more countries pave the way for such benefits. Finally, the Open Skies Agreements that Singapore and these countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America have concluded recognise the benefits that they can bring to airlines, the traveling public and the wider economy through increased trade, tourism and people flows.
I think is really good if Singapore success in this agreements with Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. It would help to improve economy of the Asia Pacific region. Moreover, I think Thailand will obtain some benefits from these open skies agreements because there is bring tourism and people to Thailand also. Thailand is near Singapore. For me this is good news, I can fly easily through Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbeans for traveling.

Cycling Paths in Tampines Town,Singapore
Today I have news from Singapore for people who that like to bike. There is a good place for resident in Tampines are the first to have cycling paths under the National Cycling Plan this path will connect cyclists to place to place such as MRT station, bus, schools and markets. The Land Transport Authority ( LTA) chose to start with Tampines because there is a steady pool of residents who bike and will benefit from the new cycling paths. Also this town has strong community support from advisers and they have volunteers in promoting cycling and safe cycling behavior. On 18 July 2010 senior Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Community Development, Youth and Sports, Teo Ser Luck start the first 1.2 km. of cycling track. The town will have a total of 9.2 km. of cycling paths. It will fully complete in 2012. In this track, the LTA has also separated the cycling paths from the footpaths in parallel that help cyclists to bike easily without worry about people who is walking.
I think this news is good news from Singapore citizen that will has more choice in transportation. Moreover, it is help to save our world by cycle place to place. Another benefit is health, cycling like as exercise.

Flaw in Singapore’s education system
I choose this article because I thought Singapore education is good and I was the one wanted to go study there but after I read this story. I may be wrong. From article said they are wondering, “why we can't speak English - or Mandarin – well” Some people think because a combination of societal influence, family, and educators those make up the language abilities of a child less. Or we are missing something huge in this situation. In fact that the Ministry of Education has a huge fault in its language education system. First, the studies from the University of British Columbia have show the best age for a child to develop they first language skill are between age 1 to 13. From granted, in Singapore, both languages (English and a 'mother tongue') this is should ideally be developed as first languages, the important point to take away here is that the best age for first language acquisition. Second, Singapore primary school teachers are teach at least 2 out of 3 subjects (English, Mathematics, and Science) that teachers who experiences training to be a primary school educator enter the National Institute of Education and major in only one subject- either English, Chinese, Malay, Physics/Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History, Geography, Music, Art, or Physical Education. Moreover, teachers are then expected to be able to teach other subject well, too. The problem is about graduation from the National Institute of Education. They all newly installed teachers are sent to schools and assigned to teach at least 2 subjects, with 1 being a subject of their university major, and other that remaining 2 subjects of the English, Mathematics, and Science subjects. Which means teachers who going to teach your children English. Some of them really have no grasp of grammar rules at all. So,Ministry of Education should look into because Singaporeans are growing up with not able to reformed command of the English Language.
In my idea, the Singapore’s ministry of education should take this is the seriously problem because children age 6 - 13 those in primary school years are the best year for children to learn language skill and will stay inside their brain (remember ). I think if children have a good base of study skill, it will be quickly for children to understand the newly things in the future.

Singapore is head in maths and science
From the lastly international report said Singapore lead the world in math and science. Singapore had the best average scores in both subjects students aged 10("fourth grade") and 14("eighth grade") in Mathematics and Science Study (Timss). Students from England also did well in science. Mathematics and Science Study is four-yearly test. This is the second time that English has failed. It made UK left out from the PISA rank. There is organised by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement and co-ordinate by researchers at Boston College in the US. The researchers said Singapore students at grade 4 and 8 were easily to do the top performers in maths and the best in science with the highest average scores. Also students from South Korea, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong region of China also do performed very well across the two subject areas.
In my opinion, I have no doubt about why students from Singapore get the best scores in both subjects because in their education system it is cleanly said the overall aim of primary education is to give students a good grasp of English language, Mother Tongue and Mathematics. So, students must study hard since they are in primary school. As I knew most of school in those countries has extra classes from student to study after school or on weekend. Because they have very tense competition to get a good as well as they can. Let think, Thailand is the one that very tense admission competition but those countries is double or more then Thailand situation.

Singapore U-23s get nod for 2010 Asian Games
Today I have news about Singapore U-23s get in 2010 Asian Games. There is good news for national U-23 team, the Singapore National Olympic Council or SNOC given them the green light to be the part of team goes at November's Asian Games in Guangzhou, China because they show a successful preferment.
There will be second successive at the every four years games after taking past in Doha2006. The majority of the players from last year's SEA Games bronze medal winning squad. They will be encouraged by the attendance of three 'over-aged' players as allowed by competition rules during the competition in Guangzhou.
National Teams and Young Lions manager said we would like to think for SNOC belief in the future of Singapore football. This Asian Games will offer our players with a wonderful opportunity to against some of the top teams in Asia in a competitive environment. I think it is great to them that get this opportunity to play with top team in Asia then they can improve their game plan to play better in the future.
