Singapore President Nathan visits China


President Nathan visit to China from August 16-23. A statement from Singapore's Foreign Ministry said he will visit Beijing and Shanghai. While in Beijing, President Nathan will call on President Hu Jintao and be hosted to dinner by Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Jia Qinglin. While in Shanghai, he will visit the World Expo in support of the Singapore Pavilion. He will also meet the Overseas Singaporean communities in Beijing and Shanghai. President Nathan will be accompanied by Mrs Nathan and senior officials from the President's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is news that link with the previous news. According to, this weekend, President Nathan visiting theroof-top garden at the Singapore Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Singapore has created an attractive pavilion for the World Expo but it can still learn from other countries' exhibits, he said
In my opinion, this is good for relationships between Singapore and China. Especially, in foreign affairs. Moreover, when president is going to meet oversea Singaporean in Beijing and Shanghai is a great psychology because it is show to singaporean in oversea that Singapore president always think about them, mean Singapore government still care, do not forget!!
