Cycling Paths in Tampines Town,Singapore

Today I have news from Singapore for people who that like to bike. There is a good place for resident in Tampines are the first to have cycling paths under the National Cycling Plan this path will connect cyclists to place to place such as MRT station, bus, schools and markets. The Land Transport Authority ( LTA) chose to start with Tampines because there is a steady pool of residents who bike and will benefit from the new cycling paths. Also this town has strong community support from advisers and they have volunteers in promoting cycling and safe cycling behavior. On 18 July 2010 senior Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Community Development, Youth and Sports, Teo Ser Luck start the first 1.2 km. of cycling track. The town will have a total of 9.2 km. of cycling paths. It will fully complete in 2012. In this track, the LTA has also separated the cycling paths from the footpaths in parallel that help cyclists to bike easily without worry about people who is walking.

I think this news is good news from Singapore citizen that will has more choice in transportation. Moreover, it is help to save our world by cycle place to place. Another benefit is health, cycling like as exercise.
